Project Monitoring

Project monitoring

Project monitoring of any build can be all consuming, from arranging for landscapers to come out and have a look at the site and talk through the drawings to tracking down plants and liaising with suppliers over lead times of garden furniture and planters. To take the pain out of the process, when working with me I offer three packages,

Seedhead

Seed Package

I will arrange for up to three landscapers to come out to site and quote to build your garden. Once the quotes are received we can talk through any differences in pricing, often no two quotes are laid out in the same way and one quote may include additional elements that isn’t in the next one. We will then get a provisional date in the diary with the chosen landscaper (given the weather and the issues sourcing materials at the moment it is highly likely this will change). There will be up to 3 site visits including setting out day, when the design is marked out, to answer any questions the landscapers may have and ensure that what was designed on paper fits on the ground.

Rose bud

Bud Package

The package will build upon the seed package, where the number of site visits will be increased to up to 5 during the build of your garden. In addition plant sourcing will be undertaken based on the agreed planting plan. Including phoning around and travelling out to plant nurseries to select key shrubs or trees for your garden. Occasionally substitute plants maybe required if it just isn’t possible to get a particular variety this year. It will be always be a similar plant, same flower colour, similar size for example. Any substitutes will be discussed before ordering along with confirmation of the pricing for the plants, to allow us to tweak the order where necessary.

Paeony Bloom

Bloom Package

The process will be managed from end to end, starting with collating the quotes, through to site visits (up to 5 visits for an average suburban garden but this will be tailored to the size of the build) and being on the end of the phone for any queries or questions that the landscaper may have. As well as taking the time to source plants for your garden I will also spend time finding furniture relevant to your style of garden, along with planters and any off the shelf water features (technical drawings for bespoke water features will have been included as part of the design process and handed over to the landscaper).
